Archiving a Portal

The Portal Archiving feature in LMS Portals allows administrators to take a portal offline while preserving all of its content, users, and configurations for future use.

Archiving delivers three major benefits:

1. Preserves Work and Data
   All portal settings, content, and user records remain intact. When you are ready to use the portal again, it can be restored exactly as it was, eliminating the need to rebuild from scratch.

2. Frees Up License Capacity
   Archived portals no longer count toward your pool of active portal licenses. This allows you to deploy new portals without increasing your subscription or deleting existing work.

3. Supports Flexible Deployment
   By archiving portals you are not currently using, you can rotate training programs, manage seasonal initiatives, or temporarily pause client portals, all while maintaining the ability to redeploy them later.

Archiving provides a convenient way to manage your portal lifecycle, optimize license usage, and protect the investment of time and effort put into building each portal.
